March 14, 2008 - The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he wasn't the guy behind The Big Lead. Lozo Why Don't We Get Drunk and Blog?
March 14, 2008 - It's not as shocking as Ken Tremendous/Michael Schur from Fire Joe Morgan recently revealing that he's married to Regis Philbin's daughter, writes for, produces, and plays Mose Schrute on The Office, and was formerly a writer on Saturday Night Live, but the man behind The Big Lead has also revealed his identity after two years of anonymity. Following in the footsteps of Schur and now Jason McIntyre, perhaps some day soon even I'll ditch this silly pen name. Aaron Gleeman AaronGleeman.com
March 13, 2008 - The guy behind the anonymous sports blog The Big Lead outs himself as Jason McIntyre, who recently left his gig as Us Weekly’s assistant news editor to run the site full time. Guys who like sports and celebrity gossip? Freaks. david Jossip
March 13, 2008 positive Although we at FanHouse have some bloggers who use a pen name (including, for a while, The Big Lead himself), my own view is that by the time a blogger has reached the readership levels of a Big Lead or a Fire Joe Morgan, he ought to put his own name on his work. A writer who writes under his own name comes across as more accountable, both to his readers and to his subjects. Michael David Smith FanHouse
March 13, 2008 positive Anyway, congrats to Mr. McIntyre and Mr. Deitsch. So, to sum up, what you are reading is a sports media post by a sports media blogger about a sports media reporter's scoop concerning a sports media blogger, who in August interviewed the first of the aforementioned sports media bloggers. Is this a great country, or what? Neil Best Watchdog
March 13, 2008 positive Hiding or creating a nom de plum doesn’t cut it with me. I think its great we know the identity of these two writers. I’ll be in touch. Keith Thibault Sports Media Journal

March 13, 2008 negative So there you have it. I hope these stunning revelations - and the fact that even if you know our real names, we’re still just six assholes you don’t know - don’t affect how you read our fine site. Big Daddy Drew Kissing Suzy Kolber
March 13, 2008 positive Jason will finally get the credit he deserves for pioneering our favorite sports blog, The Big Lead. Jason had been the anonymous creator/head writer for the site since its inception, but decided to out himself after taking into consideration the great success of the site. March 13, 2008 - Those of us who blog for a living hobby like to remain anonymous, mostly because we don’t want our bosses to figure out that instead of working we’re busy blogging.
